New Jersey seeks fourth round of offshore wind farm proposals as foes push back

Community Offshore Wind submitted a bid Wednesday to build a wind farm off the state’s southern coast.

The newly approved offshore wind farms will be located about 40 miles off the N.J. coast and generate enough electricity to power 1.8 million homes.

The Danish company Orsted said high-interest rates and supply chain issues will cause delays at three major offshore wind projects.
