Judge denies bid to move trial of ex-officer out of Philadelphia due to coverage, protests

Officers confronted the man on the 1600 block of Moore Street after he was seen walking with a rifle. The man is hospitalized in critical condition; no officers were injured.

Police say they responded to a man who was stabbed and walking in the roadway early Monday morning. A physical altercation ensued, then an officer discharged his weapon.

Prosecutors said the man, who was 15 in 2021, fired at another person, and Sharon Hill officers shot at a car they thought was the gunfire source, killing an 8-year-old.
