Jussie Smollett sentenced to 150 days in jail in fake attack

Authorities said the purchases were allowed even though police were called to his home twice in 2019 for threats of violence and suicide.

The ruling Wednesday comes after a Cook County judge sentenced Smollett last week to immediately begin serving 150 days in jail for his conviction.

The jury also found father and son Greg and Travis McMichael and neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan guilty of attempted kidnapping.
