If Roe falls, some fear ripple effect on civil rights cases

After deliberating more than six months, the justices in a 5-4 vote blocked an agreement hammered out with state and local governments and victims.

It’s the court’s first abortion decision since conservative justices overturned Roe v. Wade two years ago.

Lawyers for Civil Rights, a nonprofit based in Boston, is filing the civil rights complaint on behalf of Black and Latino community groups in New England.
