Philadelphia man exonerated after spending nearly 30 years on death row

Philly DA Larry Krasner charged former detectives Martin Devlin, Manuel Santiago and Frank Jastrzembski in 2021, days before the statute of limitations was set to expire.

Sixteen-year-old Alexander McClay Williams remains the youngest person the state has put to death. He was exonerated by Gov. Tom Wolf after researchers dug up new evidence.

Anyone arrested in the next several years will have to find bail from some other source besides the Philadelphia Bail Fund.
