Many people devote more time to work than to their personal lives. That’s why our identity is so tied up with the work we do — and why we get burned out. The hangover from the Covid pandemic along with big changes in technology, like AI, have dramatically changed the world of work and our relationship to our employment.

No wonder half of the workforce feels dissatisfied with their job, according to a recent Gallup Poll. This week on The Connection, psychology professor Tessa West explains how to find satisfaction from work in these stressful times and why you don’t need to love your job to be happy.
