Trump announces new 25 percent tariff on all cars made outside the U.S.

The president declined to explicitly say he won't stay in office past January 2029, telling reporters Sunday, "We have a long way to go before we can even think about that."

The 25% import tariffs on foreign cars will increase prices for vehicles coming from Germany, Japan and South Korea, as well as for foreign-made parts assembled in the U.S.

Trump told reporters he was not aware that the sensitive information had been shared, 2 1/2 hours after it was reported.
