Simmons out for home opener, still not ready to join 76ers

Ben Simmons says his mental health struggles began well before the 76ers’ season ended and he didn’t believe he’d be able to overcome them in Philadelphia.

James Harden will not play for the Philadelphia 76ers in games Friday and Saturday night. The earliest Harden could play for the 76ers is at home Tuesday against Boston.

The disgruntled All-Star guard is heading to the Brooklyn Nets, along with Seth Curry and Andre Drummond, in a blockbuster trade.
