Former Manhattan prosecutor to represent suspect in killing of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO

Luigi Mangione faces 20 total counts in federal court, Pennsylvania state court and New York state court. On Monday, he pleaded not guilty in the latter to 11 counts.

Luigi Mangione agreed on Thursday to be extradited at a court appearance in Pennsylvania, where he was arrested last week after five days on the run.

Mangione was charged under a state law that allows for stiffer sentences for terrifying civilians or influencing government. He is currently jailed in Pennsylvania.
