Allentown officers seen on video in controversial detention won’t face charges

A jury last year convicted former Wilmington officer Samuel Waters of misdemeanor assault and other charges in the 2021 arrest that led to demonstrations.

The decision comes after all charges against Dial were dropped by a Municipal Court judge last month.

A coalition of newsrooms requested Pennsylvania’s database of police officers, but officials denied the info, citing safety concerns for undercover officers.
