Elon Musk joins Twitter board after amassing massive stake

The mass resignation of engineers, data scientists and product managers is a temporary setback for Elon Musk and President Trump's tech-driven purge of the federal workforce.

Meta unveiled an app to rival Twitter on Wednesday. Called Threads, the new offering is billed as a text-based version of Meta’s photo-sharing app Instagram.

The Nasdaq fell 4% for the second time this week and finished April down 13.3%, its biggest monthly loss since 2008.
