From pre-K through high school and beyond, you can find WHYY in classrooms. We partner with teachers, schools, districts and departments of education to help make learning at school engaging, effective and fun.
WHYY brings the best of PBS to classrooms with PBS LearningMedia, a free online resource used by thousands of teachers each day. With standards-based lessons tied to PBS’ resources, ranging from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood to Nova and Frontline, PBS LearningMedia brings the world to your classroom.
WHYY has partnered with close to 50 Philadelphia schools to bring media equipment and skilled media instructors to classrooms across the city. Teachers learn to use video production for classroom projects, and students learn to tell stories and develop their unique voices through after-school news and documentary clubs. Graduates of the Media Labs program can apply for media jobs through WHYY’s youth employment program.
