Just three years after the near-collapse of the U.S. auto industry, Detroit’s Big Three automakers are in the middle of a resurgence. They are regaining some of the market share they lost to Japanese manufacturers and GM has even regained its position as the world’s No. 1 car maker. But is it really a comeback? Joining us to discuss the big 3 and their return to prominence is author and auto industry expert MICKI MAYNARD. She is a contributor to the Forbes.com blog Voyages, and senior editor of Changing Gears, a public media project exploring the economic transformation of the industrial Midwest. We’ll also find out what the big three and other auto makers are rolling out for car show season. The Philadelphia Auto Show is set to wrap up its weeklong run this Sunday.
