Will wall-breaching bandit rob Germantown Ave. market again in December?

On Oct. 9 and Nov. 18, an unknown burglar broke into the Progressive Food Market near Germantown Ave. and Collom St. through a side wall.

Once inside, he “took an undetermined amount of cash and numerous cartons of cigarettes, placed them into a backpack style bag and fled in an unknown direction,” according to police.

Investigators released surveillance video from the 5141 Germantown Ave. scene of the crimes to solicit information from the public about the burglar.

He is described as being in his late twenties with a medium build, light beard and was wearing a black ski cap and dark-colored hooded jacket with a white logo and wings on back at the time.
