Victim of fatal Germantown shooting identified

Philadelphia Police identified the man who was fatally shot across the street from the Happy Hollow Recreation Center on Monday morning as 32-year-old Carl Kelley.

A police spokeswoman said investigators believe Kelley, of the 100 block of W. Logan St., was involved in an argument when he was shot once in the left side of the chest around 8:55 a.m.

After the shooting, which occurred less than three blocks from his home, Kelley was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was declared dead 20 minutes later.

Police have no one in custody and did not release a suspect description on Tuesday.
