Two New Jersey students’ film to be screened at Tribeca fest

A short film made by two New Jersey high school students will be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York this week.

Christopher Rodriguez and Julio Villegas of Bloomfield Tech entered a contest sponsored by Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, the American Federation of Teachers and the Tribeca festival called “Speak Truth To Power.”

The contest is open to middle-school and high school students and focuses on human rights figures and issues.

The two New Jersey students’ film “Another Look At Genocide” examines the life of Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel. It was selected out of more than 500 entries from 100 schools.
