Two-hour Black Friday walk looks to redefine post-Thanksgiving tradition

In a twist on traditional Black Friday activities — waking up at 4 a.m. and shopping ’til you drop — the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia has organized a post-Thanksgiving ‘Gobble Gobble Walk’ through the region’s newest trail connections.

Together with the Schuylkill Project and the Friends of the Cynwyd Trail, participants will meet at the Cynwyd station, head to the forthcoming “Cynwyd Spur”, the Manayunk Bridge (which is under construction) and turn around at the Rock Hill trail head.

Meet at the station at 1 p.m. located at 1 E. Montgomery Ave., Bala-Cynwyd on Nov. 28. The family-friendly walk will take approximately two hours.
