Tribute in Gorgas Park honors hospitalized veterans [photos]
The 21st Ward Veterans Association held the Fifth Annual Hospitalized Veterans Tribute on Saturday afternoon at Gorgas Park in honor of returned veterans who have been injured and their families.
The event featured a “Walk of Honor” for veterans, music from local bands, and food from nearby eateries.
Attendees were bussed to the park from the Coatsville VA Medical Center.
Veterans also received care packages from 21st Ward Veterans Association, Operation Bedding, and the American Heritage Federal Credit Union.
