Top aide to Delaware Governor heading to kids sports job

A key official in the administration of Delaware Governor Jack Markell is leaving, just weeks before the governor is set to start his second term.

Brian Selander, the chief strategy officer, is heading to “The Whistle” a sports, entertainment company.  The start up company aims its programs to young teens.

“Brian Selander has been a valued friend and adviser for more than a decade,” Markell said as he wished Selander good luck in the next chapter of his career.  Selander managed the communications, constituent relations office, and scheduling teams within the governor’s office.

Selander has also spent time on the staffs of Senator Tom Carper and New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley.
