Testimony in slaying of well-known Philly musician

A witness testified about her part in an alleged robbery that led to the shooting death of a Philadelphia-area musician.

The Bucks County Courier Timesreports that 19-year-old Tatyana Henderson took the witness stand Friday at the Danny DeGennaro murder trial.

Henderson says that Trenton residents Jermaine Jackson, Breon Powell and Kazair “Dough” Gist went into DeGennaro’s home to collect money in Dec. 2011.

Powell and Gist are on trial for homicide. A jury in May found Jackson guilty of second-degree murder. He’s now serving a life sentence.

Henderson and another woman who was in the alleged getaway car are also facing homicide charges.

DeGennaro was well-known in the local music scene and played guitar with national acts including Billy Squier and Bo Diddley.

    The trial resumes Monday.
