Temple student sees doppelganger in Italian painting

You never know where you might see your doppelganger. On the subway, in the supermarket, perhaps in a 16th century Italian painting.

That’s what happened to Temple University student Max Galuppo.

Painted by an uknown artist in Italy, the portrait features a man who likely strikingly like Galuppo. And once his girlfriend posted the photo to Reddit, the rest of the country took notice.

Galuppo’s story has been featured on Good Morning America, and now he’s on the quest to see if his own Italian ancestors have any connection to the man in the painting.
