Teen critically injured in Philly stabbing

Police say a teenage girl is being questioned in connection with a stabbing in south Philadelphia that sent a teenage boy to the hospital in critical condition.

Investigators said the 14-year-old victim was stabbed in the chest with a knife in the Point Breeze section of the city at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

He was rushed to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where Chief Inspector Scott Small described his condition as “very critical.”

Small said investigators believe the boy was stabbed a short distance away and walked a few blocks before collapsing.
