SugarHouse Casino GM says overall goal is database building

You didn’t think SugarHouse Casino was really about gambling, did you? The casino’s General Manager Wendy Hamilton hosted this morning’s Forum of Executive Women, which Philadelphia Business Journal Publisher Lyn Kremer attended.

Kremer shared some tidbits from Hamilton’s address.

The casino has check 86,000 IDs since its fall opening, valet parked 40,000 cars and auditioned 30,000 applicants for the 1,000 positions.

And though Hamilton hinted at disappointing revenue, she said SugarHouse’s focus is database building. So far, it’s collected 100,000 names.
