Thrill to the sight of more than 700 historical re-enactors from 11 states, from New Hampshire to South Carolina, as they recreate the Battle of the Brandywine, a battle in the pivotal Philadelphia Campaign of 1777! Brandywine Creek State Park, September 15th and 16th, 9 A.M.

Art Salad is a free lunchtime lecture series that features multi-point perspectives into the world of contemporary art from artists, historians, educators, and curators.  September 20th, Maiza Hixson, Gretchen Hupfel Curator of Contemporary Art, will give a season’s preview and highlights of the Fall 2012 exhibition season at the DCCA. Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, September 20th, 12 P.M.

Arts & Jazz Festival

A day not to be missed at The Freeman Stage at Bayside!  Stroll the green and enjoy previewing the artwork of Delmarva’s finest artists, whom are sponsored by Delaware by Hand.  Pull up a chair and groove to some of the most talented jazz artists to ever play at the shore – Joe Baione, Grace Kelly, and Ron Carter.  The Arts & Jazz Festival will make the last weekend of the summer one of the most memorable!  The Freeman Stage at Bayside, September 15th, 10 A.M.
