Search on for N.J. missing woman

Authorities in Hunterdon County are searching for a missing woman with Alzheimer’s disease.

Hunterdon County chief of detectives John Kuczynski says 71-year-old Nancy Hogan walked away from her home on Kubin Court in Lebanon Township at about 8 o’clock on Friday night. She’s described as being in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s and unable to communicate. Authorities believe the woman may have sought shelter during the cold overnight and are asking area residents to check their property for any sign of Hogan. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white blouse, white sneakers and a red hooded jacket.

Several agencies are involved in the search. A New Jersey State Police helicopter is assisting in the effort.
