Salem County celebrates Arts in Bloom 2011 this weekend

    Pairing the natural beauty of the season with artists’ creativity, Salem County, N.J.’s Arts in Bloom 2011 is a free event taking place Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    Artists will be showing off their handiwork at 27 locations across the county, some of which are opening for the first time.

     

    This year’s event also includes a Family Fun Tour with special features for kids. Activities include felt making at Wilson Wool Works, Mannington, puppetry at Dr. Neff’s Incredible Puppet Co., Monroeville, stone arrowhead making at Camp Edge and leather working at Diana’s Leather Shoppe, both in Alloway, and clay sculpting at Klayhorse Studio, Elsinboro.

    The weekend event features the work of over 50 artists, and many restaurants in the area are offering tour goers special premiums and discounts, as reported by Today’s Sunbeam.
