Report: Singer bumped as Philly City Commission chair

Election Day is barely over and Philly’s city commissioners are making moves.

Commissioners Anthony Clark and Al Schmidt voted today to remove Stephanie Singer as the City Commissioner chairwoman and makes themselves co-chairs, according to the Daily News.

Singer became chairwoman in last November’s election — the same time Schmidt was elected. According to the DN, the decision was sparked by concerns over Singer’s attempts to increase her power, but doesn’t mention specifically the emails Singer sent from her campaign email account in support of then-candidate for president Barack Obama, or last night’s reports from the polls on voter registration mix-ups.
