Police: Woman believed kidnapped was being helped by family

Police say a woman who struggled to get away as she was dragged into a minivan at a Philadelphia gas station has been located and was not a kidnap victim as they had previously believed.

Police said Sunday the woman had been distraught over personal matters and had fled after being with a family member Saturday night.

Authorities now say what appeared to be a kidnapping was actually family members grabbing the woman to take her home, where she received their full support.

Police had said several people watched as the woman struggled with a man who dragged her into a van. Two people called 911.
