Police: 3-year-old boy survives tumble out 2nd floor window

Police in Philadelphia say a 3-year-old boy has survived a fall from a second floor window with minor injuries.

The Philadelphia Police Department says the boy’s mom in the city’s Point Breeze section was preparing to give the child a bath Wednesday night. She had left him in the bathroom to fetch pajamas when she heard him crying. Police say she returned to the bathroom and couldn’t find her son but still heard his cries. That’s when she looked out the window near the tub and saw the child on the ground below, trying to stand up.

Medics arrived and took the boy to Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania, where he was in stable condition with a scrape on his arm.
