Philly police seek suspects who shot 2 19-year-old men

Philadelphia police have been trying to find whoever fatally shot two 19-year-old men in separate incidents late on Memorial Day.

Police haven’t yet released the names of the men.

The first victim was found shot in a playground in southwest Philadelphia, with a bloody handgun, a cellphone and cash found in the grass nearby. That happened about 10 p.m.

About 30 minutes later, police heard about a half dozen gunshots in the city’s Strawberry Mansion section and found another 19-year-old man dead of a gunshot to his head.

Police aren’t sure whether that man was the intended target, because shell casings they believe are connected to that shooting were found some distance away from his body.

But police say surveillance cameras show two men running from the second shooting scene.
