Pelosi reacts to SCOTUS taking on travel ban

Parts of the Trump administration’s travel ban will be allowed to take effect and  the U.S. Supreme Court will take up a case covering the policy.   The top Democrat in the U.S. House, in Philadelphia for an event, said she’s disappointed.

U.S. House Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi found out about the Supreme Court decision while speaking to a group of women about food insecurity in Philadelphia.

“It is a travel ban counter to our constitution which says we should not discriminate on the basis of religion,  I hope the court is loyal to our constitution,” she said.

Pelosi says Democrats are using more social media to fight President Trump at every turn.  She says she hopes that a groundswell of people will continue to challenge the president’s policies from health care to immigration.
