Pa. Gov-elect Wolf names McGinty as chief of staff

HARRISBURG, Pa.  — Tom Wolf is turning to a former state environmental protection secretary to serve as his chief of staff.

Gov.-elect Wolf announced Monday the choice of Katie McGinty, who finished fourth in the spring primary and then led Campaign for a Fresh Start, a political action committee that actively supported him and other Democrats.

The 51-year-old McGinty headed the Department of Environmental Protection under Gov. Ed Rendell. She’s also worked for Al Gore in the Senate and in the White House under President Bill Clinton.
