Nutter leads group to Rome to prepare for pope’s visit

Mayor Michael Nutter is leading a group in Rome as Philadelphia prepares for a September visit from Pope Francis.

Nutter, Archbishop Charles Chaput and civic and business leaders will spend four days in Rome to discuss the papal visit and to promote the World Meeting of Families convention.

Nutter is scheduled to meet with the mayor of Rome and Vatican security officials.

The pope is scheduled to arrive in Philadelphia on Sept. 26.
