Get ready for the holidays with We Kids Rock Band. We Kids Rock has a mission: to create fun, upbeat musical experiences for families. The Band features catchy originals as well as traditional favorites in fun musical styles including rock n roll, rhythm & blues, punk, ska and country. Home for the Holidays

A new reservations-only event, “Home for the Holidays,” will treat guests to a rare evening tour of the residence aglow in Christmas cheer. From 7 to 9 p.m., guests may tour the residence at their leisure and join friends in the barn to make an origami decoration, learn simple yet elegant home-decorating ideas, taste cocktails and mocktails, and watch Chef Roy craft a gingerbread house while savoring delicious desserts. Hagley Museum and Library, December 4th, 7 P.M.

 

Willy Wonka

Roald Dahl’s timeless story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which features the songs from the classic family film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Riverfront Theater, November 30th and December 1st, 8 P.M., December 2nd, 3 P.M.

 

Movies at Midway: Amador

Marcela, a young immigrant with financial troubles, finds a summer job looking after Amador, a bedridden elderly man whose family is away. Amador’s sudden death leaves Marcela jobless, something she can’t afford to let happen. Faced with a difficult moral dilemma, Marcela will prove that death can’t always stop life.
