Passengers who ride New Jersey Transit buses between New Jersey and New York no longer have to line up to get monthly passes.
The agency is now offering My Tix service through its mobile ticketing app. Passengers download the free app, purchase the monthly bus pass and display the pass on their mobile devices when boarding buses.
The technology has been available to bus customers in southern New Jersey since last fall and it has been available on all of NJ Transit’s train routes since December 2013.
NJ Transit plans to next offer the monthly pass application to passengers who ride buses within the state.
