N.J. jobs report for April due

Numbers will soon be available showing whether New Jersey’s unemployment rate will go below 9 percent for the first time in four years.

The state plans to release its monthly jobs report for April on Thursday.

In March, 9 percent of the workforce was looking for a job, down three-tenths of point from the month before.

The private sector added workers, but the main reason for the decline was that fewer jobless people were looking for work.
