N.J. Chamber of Commerce postpones Washington trip

It’s no fun walking to Washington in the snow.

The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce has postponed its 77th annual trip to Washington because of the weather.

Some 900 people were registered to take a train to the nation’s capital on Thursday. They would have heard from Gov. Chris Christie and the state’s other political leaders in Washington.

Organizers say Amtrak recommended postponing the trip because the forecast calls for snow in New Jersey and Washington.

The event has been dubbed the Walk to Washington because many participants network with each other by walking the length of the train.

    The event will be rescheduled.
