New leaders for Delaware money committees

House Speaker-elect Pete Schwartzkopf (D-Rehoboth) is out with his committee assignments for the next General Assembly session which starts next month.  The House will have new co-chairs of the bicameral Joint Finance and Bond Bill Committees which are in charge of writing up the operating and capital budgets for the state.  Rep. Melanie George Smith (D-Bear) will replace Dennis Williams as leader of the JFC.  Williams retired and was elected as mayor of Wilmington in November.  Rep. Quinn Johnson (D-Middletown) will lead the Bond Bill Committee, taking over the spot formerly held by Rep. Helene Keeley (D-Wilmington).  Keely will remain a member of the panel.
