New Jersey to announce which organizations can sell medical marijuana

    Update: The six nonprofits have been announced:

    Breakwater Alternative Treatment Center in Manalapan
    Compassionate Care Centers of America Foundation Inc. in New Brunswick
    Compassionate Care Foundation Inc. in Bellmawr
    Compassionate Sciences, Inc in either Burlington or Camden counties
    Foundation Harmony in Secaucus
    Greenleaf Compassion Center in Montclair

    Original report: State officials in New Jersey are expected to announce today which nonprofits can grow and sell medical marijuana, NJ.com and the Associated Press report.

    Implementation of sales was delayed pending the set-up of regulations on the new industry. Six nonprofits can grow and sell the marijuana, and alternative treatment centers will be set up throughout the state.
