New Jersey gas prices rise slightly

Motorists are seeing slightly higher prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $1.92, up a penny from last week. But that’s also much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $2.34.

The national average price on Friday was $2.14, up a penny from last week. But that’s still much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $2.66.

Analysts say fuel prices in New Jersey will likely continue to stay stable or slide in the coming weeks, noting that gas supplies remain high.
