New filings ordered in Pa. dispute over Wolf dismissal of Corbett appointee
The fate of the man fired by Gov. Tom Wolf as the head of Pennsylvania’s open records agency will remain up in the air for at least another month.
An agreement announced after a three-hour hearing Wednesday about Wolf’s decision to fire Office of Open Records executive director Erik Arneson requires both sides to generate new motions for the court to consider.
A Commonwealth Court panel will hear the case March 11 in Harrisburg.
In the meantime, the state attorney general’s office, which represents Wolf, isn’t challenging the Senate Republicans’ standing to participate in the case, and Arneson won’t participate in the Office of Open Records’ business.
Arneson and the Senate Republicans are challenging Wolf’s decision to fire him shortly after the governor took office last month.
