Miss’d America drag pageant moving to Borgata

A drag spoof of the Miss America competition will be held this fall at Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

The Press of Atlantic City reports the relocation of the Miss’d America pageant will mesh with a gay-friendly tourism campaign at the casino, as well as citywide efforts to embrace and attract gay vacationers.

The casino partnered with the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance and the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association to host the Sept. 26 show.

The Miss’d America pageant has been held in recent years at Boardwalk Hall, Harrah’s Resort and House of Blues at Showboat Casino Hotel since first returning to Atlantic City in 2010.
