Miss America’s headquarters moves back to Atlantic City

The Miss America Organization has moved its headquarters back to Atlantic City.

The Press of Atlantic City reports the current Miss America, Kira Kazantsev, cut the red ribbon Wednesday outside the Claridge Hotel to celebrate Miss America’s new national office.

Talks are ongoing between the Miss America Organization and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority to keep the pageant in the city where it started. The contract to hold the pageant in the city expires this year. The show moved back to Atlantic City in 2013 after an eight-year stay in Las Vegas.

The organization’s office was in Linwood, just outside of Atlantic City, for the last eight years.
