Man chewing glass arrested in Lakewood after report that he was naked, riding tricycle

A 31-year-old Trenton man was arrested in Lakewood Tuesday evening after police found him naked and high under an apartment building stairwell. 

Officer John Macerino of the Lakewood Police Department responded to the Crossroads Apartments around 6:30 p.m. to investigate a report of a naked man riding a tricycle throughout the complex, police said in a release. 

Macerino found Jermaine Jones naked under a stairwell, chewing glass and cigarette tobacco, according to the release. He admitted to ingesting cocaine. 

Jones was transported to Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, where he received treatment for minor cuts to his mouth, police said.

Police subsequently charged Jones with a disorderly persons offense and for being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.
