King of Prussia Mall expands with luxury retailers in August

The King of Prussia Mall near Philadelphia plans to expand with 50 new retailers — about half of them considered luxury shops.

The new retailers to open August 18 include eyewear store Oliver Peoples; Bottega Veneta, an Italian clothing store; and upscale brand Rag & Bone.

The $250 million expansion will boost retail square footage in the mall and surrounding areas to 6.3 million.

The expansion actually connects the King of Prussia Mall with the related Plaza by building a new corridor connecting the two and making room for the new shops.

The expansion also includes a new food pavilion called Savor King of Prussia, which will include six casual dining restaurants.
