Justice Complex in Trenton evacuated because of Freon leak

Officials have evacuated New Jersey’s Hughes Justice Complex because of a Freon leak.

The building in Trenton houses the state attorney general’s office and the state Supreme Court.

Freon is a gas or liquid typically used as a refrigerant.

In a statement, officials say the leak has been contained, but readings are higher than acceptable levels.

Fresh air is being pumped into the building.

The building will remain closed until emergency officials say otherwise.
