About $500,000 was raised at the 11th annual Pink Tie Ball, held Oct. 27 at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel to benefit the Philadelphia affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The ball’s 600 guests included 200 young professionals who joined the fun during the masquerade ‘After Party.’
The evening honored Einstein Healthcare Network’s Einstein Breast Health Program; Dr. Robert G. Somers, founder of the Einstein Breast Health Program, Dr. Lisa Jablon, director of the Einstein Breast Health Program, and Macys.
Among the live auction items was a suite at the Eagles Monday Night Football game Nov. 27 against the Carolina Panthers auctioned off by former Eagles player Tra Thomas, who will watch the game with the winners. Also auctioned off was a Grillbration for 25 at home prepared by chef Walter Staib of City Tavern and Ruth Dietz Eni, known as ‘Momma Dietz,’ chair of Dietz & Watson of Wissinoming.
The black-tie gala, chaired by Scott Clemens and his wife, Sloane Six, a breast cancer survivor, featured Tony Grandberry and his Big Fun Orchestra. DJ Robbie Rob from Mix 106.1 kept guests dancing at the after party.
