Ice, snow close schools, slows highways in Northeast Pa.

Icy roads are prompting speed restrictions and school closures in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The state Department of Transportation reduced speeds to 45 mph Monday on Interstates 80, 81, 84 and 380.

The I-80 restrictions apply between I-180 near Williamsport and I-380 in the Poconos. The I-81 restrictions are in effect from I-80 to the New York border.

Dozens of school districts are closed. Colleges are operating with delayed openings and compressed schedules.
