Girl, 7, shot in suspected road rage on Philadelphia street

Police say road rage at a congested West Philadelphia intersection may have led to a shooting that wounded a 7-year-old girl.

Police tell KYW-TV they suspect an agitated motorist fired the shot Saturday after the girl’s father stopped his car to unload her and her two younger sisters.

Police say the bullet pierced the back passenger side window of the stopped car before striking the girl in the head.

Doctors say they found a projectile lodged in the girl’s skull. She’s expected to survive.
