Georgia man indicted in Delaware on tax fraud charges

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware says a Georgia man has been indicted on charges in an alleged conspiracy involving the filing more than 600 fraudulent tax returns.
The indictment was returned Tuesday against 26-year-old James Ekeke of Smyrna, Georgia.
According to the indictment, Ekeke got hundreds of names and social security numbers of people in Delaware, New Jersey, Ohio, and elsewhere, many of whom received Social Security Disability benefits.
Prosecutors say Ekeke gave the information to co-conspirators in Delaware, who filed the fake tax returns seeking more than $4 million in refunds.
